After that, 4 out of the 5 words would be read out to them. They played "race for the flat" where they used base ten blocks to get to one hundred block. Students listen to a story and have to write down what has happened in it. In this exercise, we focused on the 5 Ws - what, when, where, why and who. Students listened to the story "Scruffy Bear and the Six White Mice" and answered the 5Ws in writing. 8/26/2019 0 Comments Unit of inquiryMs.Berna talked to the students about "friendship soup" and asked them what ingredients should go inside the soup. Students came up with ingredients such as "communication", "kindness", and "care". Then, they played a team game a group of students communicates the blindfolded students which directions to go to avoid obstacles. This helped children understand that in teamwork communication is important and that it is important to work together as a team. 8/26/2019 0 Comments Maths - guess my numberUsing the hundred chart, students played the game "guess my number". They thought of the number and the other person would ask questions like "is it more than 50?" or "is it between 30 and 40?" and so on. Everyone enjoyed the game! |
